Fort Good Hope is an isolated Dene and Metis
community of approximately 800 people, and is located 23 kilometers
south of the Arctic Circle. We are a fly-in
community with winter road access from January through March. Our community
has few amenities and services available.
Our school has an enrollment of about 140
students from Kindergarten to grade 12. We have a total staff of
approximately sixteen .
We offer a program leading to High School
Graduation. In addition, our school offers a Slavey language and culture
program and a vibrant shop program.
We are currently in the process of acquiring
a new building and hope to begin classes there in September, 2011.
