Tulita,
located on the east bank of the Great Bear River where it meets the Mackenzie
River boasts a new $24 million dollar school. Chief Albert Wright school, a
modern K – 12 school opened its doors on May 1, 2009. This state-of-the-art
building features a new computer lab, science lab, full size gymnasium, a shop,
heated floors, and many windows to let in natural light. It's the only school
in the North with interactive white boards in every classroom. The elementary
grades are located on the first floor, with high school on the second. The
school also houses the community library.
